The Fibaro Wireless Dimmer 2 is the newest version of a popular wireless controller designed to operate behind a wall switch, with any light source. It enables control of lights by Z-WAVE and is easily incorporated into existing wall switches.
The Fibaro Dimmer 2 automatically senses connected devices, features automatic overload protection switch-off and soft start function. Works as a dimmer or as a connector, with two-wire or three-wire cables.
The Fibaro Dimmer 2 utilises MESH technology and retransmits your instructions to other Z-WAVE controlled units

As a dimmer it operates with the following loads:
- 230V operated Conventional incandescent (from 50W to 250W),
- 230V operated halogen (from 50W to 200W),
- 12V operated ELV halogen lamps and dimmable LED lamps (with electronic transformers : Trailing and Leading edge type) (from 50W to 225W),
- 12V operated MLV halogen lamps (with magnetic transformers) (from 50W to 225W),
- Dimmable CFL tube lamps with electronic ballasts only (from 50W to 200W),
- Using Bypass FGB002 version 4.2, provides powering of the Dimmer 2 in case of controlling the low loads of minimum power down to 5VA (for cosφ>0.5).
As a switch it works with the following loads:
- Compact fluorescent lamps with electronic ballasts,
- LED lamps, (with a power factor of >.7),
- Fluorescent tube lamps with electronic ballasts,
Please Note: Do Not mix the load type of one dimmer 2 circuit (e.g LED and CFL or different types of transformers) as it will impede the proper operation of the dimmer. Doing so will void the manufacturers warranty.
